Just thought I would mention that Ken is doing well after testing my nursing skills again. It's not that we like going to the ER, it's just where we end up sometimes.
Ken had already promised to avoid, or at least be careful with sharp knives, now he has to take more care on the stairs.
I came in after working on the set up for the basket auction, to find him on the floor. My words "Are you ok"? sounded so silly. He had mis-counted the steps and fell hard on his knees. The combination of thin skin and hardware for knees resulted in a huge gash on his right knee. Trust me - you would not want photos! I ran around the house doing my best nurse imitation and we headed off for the ER - there was no question if we should go, or not.
Six hours later we were home with over a dozen stitches. Thankfully, the artifical knees seem to be working ok but we will check in with the orthapedic surgeon just in case.
Needless to say, we missed the basket auction but I hear it was a great success.
Ah, the crazy life in the Sheets household - life's too boring without medical bills!

Ouch! That made me cringe just reading it so thank you for not showing photos. Glad you are ok Ken and way to be strong nurse Sydnie. :)
